Passing out.

team-16-mayors-parlour-014.jpg

Here are team 16 at their passing out parade. Pictured with the Mayor and Mayoress are Katherine, Denise, Paula, Paul, Alan, Christina, Chris and Jonathan. If you’d like to be a member of the next team of SMASH mentors you now have a little more time to get your application forms in as training will now start on May 17th and not April 19th as originally planned. We look forward to hearing from you! (Incidentaly the fella in the red is not the mayor but Alan, one of the mentors)

Look at my face. Am I bovered?

Remember you are our number one recruiter. Yes we do mean YOU!

Team 17 start training on May 17th so please tell everyone you can, who might want to apply to be a part of our latest mentoring team.  Then tell anyone you know, who might know someone who might want to join and anyone else who might know someone who might know someone who might want to join or who might know someone who might know someone who might know someone…

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Members of team 16 met some of the young people waiting for mentors this weekend at Waterland, which really lived up to it’s name. Spirits and expectations were high however and we did get everyone back in one piece. We even managed the first bar-b-que of the year, under  umbrellas of course. I think the rather energetic figure at the front of the raft is project manager Richard Roberts, who is in fact 110 years old. He is currently recovering on a beach in the Canary islands.

Crowdys Heroes on the up!

Here’s Claire from the Crowdys Hill Heroes making her first assent of the Link Centre climbing wall. All six of the group did fantastically well, whether climbing all the way to the top, like Claire and Harry, making a valiant effort to the half way point or like Mark learning team work and trust, belaying his friends at the other end of the rope.
