Helped by professional artists Toni Robinson and Gordon Dickinson they produced paintings and sculptures of an exceptional standard. The teddy will end up on the walls of GWH’s children’s ward. The event was funded by Nationwide and the final exhibition was opened by internationally acclaimed artist David Bent.  Young people taking part were Aaron, Amanda, Anne-Marie, Charlie, Chris, David, Ellen, Joe, Luke, Naomi and Patrick. Melanie Who is also pictured is our resident film maker and is producing a video of te event. More about that later.

Having managed to book ahead with the last of our Sport Relief grant SMASH is now running regular climbing sessions at the Link Centre. This week Aaron, Jack, Luke, Ryan and Tom all came along and two of them (Jack and Luke) even brought their mentors (Simon and Marina respectively). There would seem to be a little bit of talent in the group so i will keep you posted as to developments. The Grant also payed for me to train toward my single pitch award so next year we may be going a little further with the climbing group. Onwards and upwards!
